Syscoin RPC: Why should you choose it?

Veteran blockchain Syscoin was introduced in 2013 and launched its mainnet operations in 2014. It was among the first attempts to merge the benefits of Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake blockchains.

  • In 2023, its team launched Rollux, an L2 solution that leverages rollups to scale the L1 network and is backed by Bitcoin hashrate. So far, it is the only blockchain that merges Rollups with Proof-of-Work.

  • The network supports smart contracts that makes SYS RPC APIs suitable for DeFi applications, on-chain NFT marketplaces, wallets, trading bots, and so on.

  • Since 2019, Syscoin has been curated by a non-profit blockchain organization. The process of development is backed by the Sys Labs team.

  • The blockchain leverages “Merged Mining” technology: its hybrid consensus is protected by both mining equipment and masternodes. Its native cryptocurrency and network reward instrument is dubbed SYS.
