What is GetBlock EVM Stream?

EVM Stream delivers new blockchain events over a persistent WebSocket connection. You choose a network, subscribe to topics, and apply supported filters to receive relevant updates for your application.

How does the free launch promotion work?

EVM Stream has no CU deductions for delivered events, subscription creation, or cancellation before September 20, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. Standard billing starts at that time. The promotion does not change pricing for other GetBlock products.

Which chains are in the rollout?

The initial lineup is Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, and Robinhood. Base and Optimism are planned next. All networks are hosted in the EU. Check the dashboard for current availability.

How is Stream usage billed?

Standard pricing is 10 CU per notification delivered to a subscription after filtering. Successful subscription creation and cancellation also cost 10 CU each. Open connections, ping/pong, and failed requests are not charged. One transaction may produce multiple billable notifications.

How many subscriptions and connections can I use?

The EVM Stream configuration allows up to 15 subscriptions and 50 WebSocket connections per user. Contact our team to discuss your workload if you need more capacity.

Can I retrieve historical or missed events?

The initial release focuses on live events. Historical exports and replay of events missed while disconnected are outside its scope. Your application should account for reconnects and any data gaps.

Does a received event mean a transaction is final?

No. Inclusion in a block is not the same as finality. When reorganization handling is enabled, Stream also delivers correction events. Apply the confirmation policy appropriate to your application.

How do I get started?

Open Stream in the GetBlock dashboard, select an available network, and use the API documentation to connect over WebSocket. Choose a topic and configure its supported filters to start receiving events.
