NEO RPC: Why should you choose it?

NEO blockchain was initially launched as AntShares in 2014. Blockchain veterans Da HongFei and Erik Zhang were its key figureheads. The blockchain suggested an eccentric approach to smart contracts support and was called “Chinese Ethereum”.

  • In 2018, the developers proposed N3 upgrade to advance the technical capacity of the blockchain and make it more feature-rich. As a result, the N3 network has its throughput increased to over 10,000 transactions per second.

  • The blockchain merges the benefits of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus with decentralized Byzantine fault tolerant (dBFT) security algorithms. It relies on two tokens - core eponymous asset and fees payment method GAS.
