KAIA RPC: What is special about it?

Kaia (KAIA) is a programmable EVM-compatible L1 blockchain and a successor of Klaytn, a popular smart contracts platform. After massive re-branding in Q2-Q3, 2024, Klaytn RPC nodes were replaced by KAIA APIs.

  • Introduced in April 2024, Kaia is a blockchain with the lowest transaction latency amongst mainstream EVM L1s with 1-second block time. As such, it fuels high-performance dApps and smart contracts of various types.

  • Just like its predecessor Klaytn mainnet, Kaia facilitates integration with the LINE and Kakaotalk messenger apps to optimize the user onboarding and usage experience which gives Kaia developers instant access to over 250 million users in Asia and beyond.

  • The blockchain is fully EVM-equivalent while the interoperability with CosmWasm ecosystem will be accomplished in next phases of development. It is also integrated with powerful cross-chain bridges for seamless value transfer between networks.
