GetBlock, a leading RPC and Web3 infrastructure platform, is expanding RPC access to one of the most closely watched projects at the intersection of blockchain and AI. Bittensor (TAO) is now available on our Shared Nodes service, with support for JSON-RPC, Substrate, and WebSocket APIs on mainnet.
GetBlock extends its high-performance Bittensor RPC access options that have been available since March 2025, when we first added Bittensor support on the dedicated node offering.
Bittensor RPC Endpoints live on GetBlock: Highlights
With Bittensor now live on Shared Nodes, GetBlock users can connect to the Bittensor API through a more affordable, lower-friction setup. The expansion is driven by growing interest in Bittensor among GetBlock users, particularly from teams building at the intersection of Web3 and AI.
Bittensor is a platform where developers can build, validate, and access AI services through a network of independent subnets, powered by its own blockchain network, Subtensor.
Bittensor subnets are incentive-based marketplaces for AI-related digital commodities, each with its own use case and incentive design powered by the TAO token.
In 2026, Bittensor is seeing rising network adoption and expanding institutional access, with growth in active subnets and broader interest across the ecosystem, increasingly being discussed as part of the broader decentralized AI narrative.
Ready-to-use Bittensor RPC endpoints are available on GetBlock’s dashboard, providing Subtensor mainnet access with JSON-RPC, Substrate, and WebSocket API support.
Dedicated node service remains available for teams that need isolated resources, custom throughput, and production-grade performance guarantees.
GetBlock offers multiple plans for Bittensor API access to match different use cases – from free access for development and testing to more powerful tiers for data querying and low-latency production workloads.
What is Bittensor (TAO)? Accommodating growing demand for decentralized AI
Bittensor is a decentralized AI network, launched in 2021, built to turn machine intelligence into an open marketplace.
The protocol is designed for creating decentralized commodity markets – subnets. Each subnet focuses on a specific use case, such as text generation, data processing, or other machine learning workloads. This structure allows the network to scale horizontally, with multiple AI markets operating in parallel under a shared economic model powered by the TAO token and the financial layer around it.
In 2025 - 2026, the Bittensor ecosystem is actively evolving:
The February 2025 Dynamic TAO (dTAO) upgrade enabled subnets to become directly investable for the first time and introduced market-driven emissions.
In December 2025, daily TAO issuance was reduced by 50% (from 7,200 to 3,600 TAO per day) following the Bitcoin supply model.
By 2026, active subnets grew from 32 to over 129, spanning use cases from AI agents and compute optimization to financial forecasting and biotech.
Bittensor runs on its own blockchain network, Subtensor, which coordinates activity across the network. The network is built around miners, validators, subnet creators, and stakers: miners produce digital commodities, validators evaluate that work, subnet creators define incentive mechanisms, and TAO holders can stake to support validators.
GetBlock’s managed Bittensor RPC layer gives ecosystem participants reliable, low-latency access to chain state and operating real production workflows on Bittensor without becoming node operators.
Getting started with Bittensor API on GetBlock
To connect to Bittensor via GetBlock, log in to your account and create a new endpoint in the Shared Nodes section:
Choose the protocol and network (e.g. Bittensor Mainnet)
Select the API interface per endpoint - the network exposes both Ethereum-compatible JSON-RPC and native Substrate RPC interfaces
Connect using the generated API URL and access token

Teams with unlimited throughput requirements or dedicated infrastructure needs can deploy private Bittensor nodes via the Dedicated node dashboard or reach out to us directly to spec the node with our engineering team.
RPC infrastructure for decentralized AI network – built for any scale
GetBlock has been one of the early RPC node providers to offer managed Bittensor infrastructure. Shared nodes are now available alongside the dedicated node offering, giving teams a choice of access tier:
Shared nodes (new): JSON-RPC, WebSocket, and Substrate endpoints with a GetBlock API key – create an endpoint and start sending requests immediately.
Dedicated nodes: Private, isolated infrastructure for teams that need custom throughput, SLA guarantees, or production-scale performance.
If you are building on decentralized AI, tracking TAO token activity, or integrating Bittensor into a product, GetBlock provides the infrastructure layer. Simply sign up to GetBlock and connect to Bittensor nodes without any operational overhead.
