GetBlock, a premium RPC node provider, offers an updated free tariff for its new and existing customers. The update is set to ensure optimized distribution of resources amidst increased traffic on all endpoints.
GetBlock introduces updated limits for free RPC package
Effective January 15, 2025, GetBlock, a leading provider of blockchain RPC nodes and Web3 infrastructure, is launching an updated free request package for both new and existing customers.
To ensure a fair and inclusive allocation of its high-end hardware resources amidst growing traffic on all endpoints, GetBlock is revising the maximum bandwidth and daily rate limits of its free connection package.
Under the new structure, the free package will include:
- Throughput of up to 5 requests per second (RPS);
- A daily limit of 5,000 requests.
These specifications are ideal for personal use (such as customized self-custody wallets), research projects, and early-stage dApp development or prototypes.
GetBlock continues to offer a rich toolkit of free Web3 instruments to support the crypto community. Without requiring registration, visitors can explore the Web3 Dapp Hub—a curated glossary of top crypto applications—and utilize a suite of blockchain explorers.
Additionally, GetBlock account holders, even those with zero balances, can experiment with free EVM faucets, providing test tokens to aid development on EVM-compatible blockchains.
Since the onset of its operations in Q4 2019, GetBlock has proudly on-boarded thousands of developers on its free package.
Devs are welcomed to try entry-level tariffs
As cryptocurrency markets rebound and dApp activity surges, these adjustments are critical to maintaining efficient operations for GetBlock, its partners, and its customers.
For users requiring higher limits, GetBlock offers affordable paid plans:
- Shared nodes (limited): Starting at $23 per month (with 12-month billing).
- Shared nodes (unlimited): Starting at $399 per month.
The smallest paid package is 33x more powerful than the free option with its 5 million requests per month and 200 RPS. Unlimited packages guarantee up to 300 RPS speed with no monthly limits of requests.
For developers with more advanced needs, dedicated nodes price start from $600 per month, upon request.
