  • Increased throughput on unlimited plans to 300 RPS (1000 RPS for custom packages).

And that’s just scratching the surface!

Keep reading as we dive deeper into the highlights of 2024 and give you a sneak peek into the exciting projects we’re gearing up for in 2025.

1. New blockchains and services

GetBlock continued to expand its products and services range to guarantee holistic Web3 infrastructure experience for all dApps regarding their budget, ecosystem, and stage of development.

Access Tokens for enhanced security

On Feb.1 2024, we completed the migration towards a better authentication instrument, Access Tokens. Simply put, they advance security and developer experience level of GetBlock’s RPC connection:

  • Easier mitigation of potential data leaks: new token can be re-issued with no need for lengthy setup
  • Better data protection: as Access Tokens are universal, the potential attacker doesn’t know which blockchain can be accessed with this or that token;
  • Richer customization and analytics opportunities: with Access Tokens, we’re able to deliver more detailed and flexible usage statistics.
  • Optimized routing and reduced latency.

The upgrade was the longest in GetBlock’s history: full procedure of migration took over five months.

New cohort of blockchains on shared RPC node suite

First, GetBlock introduced a host of new blockchains to its shared RPC node suite. Over the last 12 months, we’ve begun supporting:

By adding these new blockchains, GetBlock not only empowers developers with novel opportunities but also contributes to fostering diversity in Web3 by supporting early-stage networks.

Crypto faucets with free test ETH

In May 2024, GetBlock launched developer-friendly testnet faucets for ETH and MATIC, making it easier than ever for developers to experiment with EVM blockchains. These faucets provide free tokens for testing on the following networks:

  • Ethereum Sepolia
  • Arbitrum Sepolia
  • Optimism Sepolia
  • Base Sepolia
  • Scroll Sepolia
  • Blast Sepolia
  • Linea Sepolia
  • zkSync Sepolia
  • Polygon Amoy

Unlike many competitors, we offer 0.1 test ETH per claim with no specific requirements, ensuring maximum accessibility for developers.

Over 48,000 unique users claimed their tokens so far.

Status page for maximum transparency

In December, we proudly launched the GetBlock Status Page—a streamlined tracker providing real-time updates on the status of all GetBlock services.

The GetBlock Status Page is designed to keep our customers informed about any potential issues with RPC nodes (though we hope there won’t be any!) and help them optimize their resource management efficiently.

Solana Pro: Unrivaled performance for data-heavy apps

At GetBlock, we continually strive to simplify the dApp development process while delivering cutting-edge performance solutions. To address the unique challenges of running Solana RPC nodes, we’ve introduced our brand-new Solana Pro RPC Package.

The Solana Pro solution offers unparalleled levels of customizability. With Solana Pro, dApps can broadcast and retrieve Solana data twice as fast while leveraging an industry-leading suite of add-ons, indexes, and APIs.

Key performance highlights include:

  • 500+ requests per second (RPS) compared to the standard 300 RPS.
  • Scaling up to 1,000+ RPS with a cluster of 4+ dedicated nodes.
Solana Pro also comes with a comprehensive set of advanced features, including:
  • Yellowstone Geyser gRPC plugin: A lightweight and efficient data access solution.
  • Metaplex Digital Asset Standard (DAS) API: Simplifies the management of Solana-based assets, such as tokens and NFTs.
  • Unique API/SDK integrations: Access the Jito fork of Solana’s validator for maximum MEV optimization, or use the ORE software to mine the only Proof-of-Work cryptocurrency in the Solana ecosystem.

Additionally, Solana Pro offers seamless integration with Raydium and Jupiter APIs, enabling dApps to retrieve data from Solana’s largest DeFi platforms with ultra-low latency.

With Solana Pro, GetBlock aims to solidify its position as a key infrastructure provider for all types of Solana-based dApps. This package incorporates lessons learned from years of running Solana nodes, ensuring robust, scalable solutions for our customers.

Modular AppChain launcher

As the blockchain industry enters the era of appchains, a transformative new paradigm is reshaping the technology and economics of dApps. In partnership with Power DCloud, GetBlock has launched the Modular AppChain Launcher to simplify the creation of custom blockchains.
This solution empowers teams to build and deploy their own appchains with customizable features, such as:

  • Validation design
  • Consensus type
  • Reward mechanisms

The Modular AppChain Launcher enables businesses to access decentralized systems tailored to their unique requirements—something that traditional monolithic blockchains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana simply cannot offer.

More innovations in 2024

2024 was a year of rapid expansion for GetBlock, with numerous new products and services introduced. Here are just a few highlights:

  • Universal Health Sidecar: Launched in Q3, this blockchain-agnostic monitoring tool - prevents dApps from connecting to unsynced or lagging blockchain nodes, ensuring seamless performance.
  • New regions: For the first time, GetBlock deployed dedicated nodes in the U.S. and Asia, delivering industry-leading latency and uptime to customers worldwide.
  • More Blockchain explorers: We expanded our portfolio of blockchain explorers. What started with a NEAR Protocol explorer in Q1 now includes explorers for BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, and Arbitrum, with more on the way.
  • GetBlock Web3 Dapps Hub: Informally called our “Marketplace,” this is a curated glossary of the top Web3 applications, services, products, and tools available.

And that’s just the beginning—there’s plenty more we’ve accomplished this year!

2. Performance accomplishments

In 2025, GetBlock smashed through some epic usage milestones as the demand for reliable API connection in crypto has seen a formidable growth.

Our DevOps team members are made of tough stuff.

Net number of requests: Up to 12 bln per day

In December 2024, GetBlock processed 12 billion requests to shared nodes daily. Roughly, it is equal to 10x increase in less than one year.

3. Building Global Visibility and Growing Community

At GetBlock, everything we do is for the crypto community. This has been our mission from day one. It’s why we’re proud to support early-stage developers with infrastructure grants and other opportunities.

Startup Programs on TON and NEAR

In 2024, GetBlock provided development grants to teams building on NEAR and TON, two of the most promising ecosystems in the Web3 space.

As a partner of the TON Nest, we offered free RPC requests to GameFi and LSTFi applications on the TON blockchain, giving these innovative projects the tools they need to grow.

Our collaboration with the NEAR accelerator program even caught the attention of DappRadar, which highlighted our efforts as a possible catalyst for NEAR’s price growth (we were just as surprised as you!).

Ambassador Program: Injecting new energy

We also revamped our Ambassador Program in 2024, bringing on board dozens of Web3 enthusiasts passionate about GetBlock’s services. These ambassadors have helped spread the word about our RPC nodes across global Web3 communities.
Some of the most engaging content created by our ambassadors was even featured as guest posts on GetBlock’s official blog, showcasing their unique insights and creativity. The Affiliate Program is up and running as well!

4. Bonus: What’s Next for 2025?
