peaq performance notes

peaq is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 built with Substrate and connected to Polkadot as a parachain. It supports Solidity smart contracts, uses PEAQ as its native gas token, and produces blocks roughly every 6 seconds. Developers deploy contracts with standard EVM tooling and read on-chain data through peaq RPC endpoints using both Ethereum-style and Substrate JSON-RPC methods.

peaq is designed to support the machine economy: applications involving decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), robots, vehicles, and connected devices. Its ecosystem includes machine identity and machine-related assets, while peaqOS provides a higher-level stack for bringing machine identities, wallets, reputation, and services to applications across chains. GetBlock provides managed, high-performance peaq mainnet RPC nodes over HTTPS and WebSocket for teams running these applications in production.
