Algorand blockchain was proposed by MIT professor Silvio Micali in 2017. The network was launched in testnet version in April 2019 while mainnet kicked off in June, 2019.
It employs Proof-of-Stake (PoS) type of network consensus. It is one of the pioneers of negligible energy consumption in blockchain networks.
Algorand RPC supports decentralized applications as the blockchain is suitable for smart contracts deployment. The blockchain’s codebase is written in TEAL, Reach, Java, PyTeal, Python, Go, and Rust programming languages.
Algorand APIs host 30+ decentralized applications in on-chain gaming and DeFi segments. The blockchain also on-boarded native versions of largest stablecoins U.S. Dollar Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC).
As long as you work with GetBlock’s ALGO nodes, you don’t need to spend resources on servers, DevALGOs teams and so on: we offer ready-made blockchain nodes solutions that can be activated in minutes.
Our users can customize their ALGO RPC nodes endpoints regardless of their previous experience with GetBlock’s intuitive interface and premium-level customer support.
