Tron, a veteran smart contracts platform, sees a whopping inflow of new users as Justin Sun triggers another phase of meme coin mania. dApps developers are rushing towards GetBlock Tron RPC nodes to release new tokens and protocols.

Tron jumps to the top rankings of most used blockchains, GetBlock registers 500% weekly spike

Tron, a mainstream programmable blockchain, sees an unmatched popularity spike in mid-August, 2024. In just seven days, its usage soared more than six-fold. On August 21,2024, Tron was the most used blockchain network amidst all 50+ protocols supported by GetBlock, a premium RPC node provider.

The calculations are based on the numbers of access tokens created by GetBlock users. Each access token is necessary to authorize the usage of one RPC connection. Technically, these tokens are necessary to connect wallets or dApps to Tron blockchain.

Therefore, the number of access tokens created mirrors the network activity happening on this or that blockchain. Once the interest in building on a given blockchain network surges, developers are forced to create a larger number of tokens to access it.

That’s why GetBlock researchers consider this metric to be a reliable indicator of real-time popularity of mainstream smart contracts platforms.

GetBlock CEO Arseniy Voitenko attributes this popularity to the organic upsurge of interest in building on Tron:

GetBlock was among the first Web3 infrastructure providers that started supporting private RPC APIs for Tron. As such, we established ourselves as a reliable vendor of fast and cost-efficient infrastructure for Tron dApps. We’re excited to welcome all Tron-centric developers and are amazed by current metrics demonstrated by the blockchain.

Research by GetBlock covers shared nodes, i.e. entry-level service of GetBlock. This is the easiest way to deploy a crypto application or token to one of 50+ networks supported by the service.

Tron bets big on meme coins, brings notable network activity boost

The users are rushing to Tron amidst new meme coin euphoria on the network. Endorsed by Tron creator H.E. Justin Sun, its new memecoin deployer, Sun Pump, easily outperformed its rival Pump.Fun.

In just two weeks upon launch, it managed to generate 59% more fees than Pump.Fun attracting an enormous flow of capital and audience.

So far, over 8,000 new meme coins were created through Sun Pump which pushed net profits of their creators to eight-digit zones.

Tron RPC mania at GetBlock: How to benefit from it?

As per GetBlock’s estimations, this hype is very far from being over. That said, everyone can join the Tron meme coin frenzy and try to replicate the success of Shiba Inu (SHIB), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Dogwifhat (WIF).

GetBlock’s TRX RPC nodes are available in free and paid tariffs. With these API endpoints, everyone can launch meme coin or dApp in a streamlined manner without having to run Tron node himself or herself.

GetBlock’s Tron API works faster compared to free public alternatives to protect the customers from delays and manipulations. For unmatched Web3 experience, GetBlock clients also can request a dedicated node of Tron.
