With this collaboration, Polygon’s core native asset MATIC will be accepted by Shopping.io as payment method. MATIC is added to the lists of assets accepted alongside large-cap altcoins AVAX, BNB, ZIL, and ALGO.
Shopping.io platform is designed to allow the cryptocurrency enthusiasts to buy goods and services on leading platforms including the likes of Amazon, eBay, Walmart and Home Depot.
As a new instrument for online shopping, MATIC jumps
As a part of its version v2 release, Shopping.io platform issued an ERC-20 token SHOP that is set to unlock new opportunities for the platform’s clients. Shopping.io allows SHOP minting through its main website; the token will be deflationary as per the team statements.
Following the announcement, MATIC, a Polygon’s cryptocurrency, spiked to its intraday high over $0,84 on major spot trading platforms adding over 5% in almost no time.
