Starting from Q1, 2023, two blockchain infrastructure majors will be working together to offer cutting edge nodes to a new generation of cryptocurrency protocols.

GetBlock partners Pocket Network, joint infrastructure program kicks off

According to the joint official announcement by GetBlock and Pocket Network teams, the two firms will start a strategic infrastructure collaboration. As the integration goes live, the customers of GetBlock will enjoy enhanced RPC APIs toolkit.

The new partnership is set to allow GetBlock and Pocket Network to share computational resources with each other with focus on new products and features for users.

Michael O'Rourke, a co-founder and CEO of Pocket Network, stresses the importance of new collaboration for both teams and Web3 infrastructure segment as a whole:

We believe collaboration in the ecosystem is the fastest way to bring about a web3 future to the masses. GetBlock is a great example where two infrastructure players that might have seen each other as competitors are now working together. Either through leveraging each other’s chains or gaining access to cheaper infrastructure that allows for more advanced products/features for users. As the industry develops, we believe there will be further opportunities to collaborate between major infrastructure players

Both Pocket Network and GetBlock believe that the future is multi-chain. Both infrastructure providers provide the best access to a variety of chains for their clients, and this partnership only strengthens the suite of products Web3 teams can use.

Long-term partnership for new Web3 development opportunities

Web3 node providers are essential components for dApps development as these services remove the necessity for crypto apps to run their own nodes.

Pocket Network employs over 25,000 node runners across the globe, contributing capacity to its network. These node runners are rewarded with POKT tokens for servicing relay demand. Demand is generated for the token by various dApps, projects, and platforms that use the Pocket ecosystem to either buy the POKT token or pay regular fiat payments to purchase POKT.

Launched in 2019, GetBlock connects its users to 40+ blockchains (mainnets and testnets); both shared and dedicated nodes are available in various packages. Recently, GetBlock enabled Web3 authorization with MetaMask wallets.
