Dear GetBlockians,

With the winter holiday season behind us, we’re back to building! This month, the GetBlock core team has been laser-focused on enhancing customer experience, improving connection reliability, and expanding blockchain support.

TL;DR: What we achieved in January 2025:

  • Solana DAS API add-on now available with Solana Pro RPC package;
  • New documentation portal
  • Upgraded support ticket system with Discord server integration
  • Access proxy update for improved request handling
  • Solana Traders API by bloXroute integration: internal tests completed
  • New blockchain support in Dedicated Nodes module: Hashkey Chain, Treasure, and Core
  • Monetization updates and adjustments to free-tier packages

Let’s dive into the details.

Solana DAS API add-on now available for Solana Pro RPC Customers

Starting today, users of the Solana Pro RPC package, our premium dedicated node solution, can integrate the Digital Asset Standard (DAS) API by Metaplex, a next-gen instrument for streamlined data fetching on the Solana blockchain.

The Solana DAS API enhances access to and filtering of digital asset data on Solana, including crypto tokens and NFTs.

By indexing off-chain metadata, the DAS API significantly reduces the number of calls required for various operations. This optimization results in faster and more cost-efficient data retrieval and transactions on Solana.

After stringent internal stress-tests, we deliver the stable solution suitable for the most sophisticated Solana dApps.

Deploy a Solana Pro RPC node today and start leveraging the DAS API for improved blockchain performance.

Brand-new documentation portal and ticketing system upgrade

First, check out our new documentation portal! All GetBlock docs are now available on GitBook, making them significantly more developer-friendly compared to our legacy documentation system.
The initial release includes:

  • Getting Started portal
  • Basic guides on using GetBlock RPC endpoints for dApp development
  • Ethereum API documentation

References for Solana and Tron APIs will be published by mid-February.

Additionally, we have upgraded our ticketing system to enable faster feedback collection. It is now fully integrated with GetBlock’s Discord server.

Now, our updated Discord tickets system allows the GetBlock team to better gather, manage, and deeply understand users' queries- all to provide the best support possible!

Better reliability with access proxy update

To enhance network accessibility and connection reliability, we have rolled out a highly anticipated access proxy update. This upgrade is designed to support the blockchains availability, reduce error rate, lower latency, and improve RPC node access.

The upgrade is a part of our long-term infrastructure development roadmap. With the new access proxy, users enjoy decreased latency for processed requests and less issues during data-heavy network operations.

bloXroute integration: Internal stress-tests are completed

Additionally, we have entered into a long-term collaboration with bloXroute, a Tier 1 provider of DeFi infrastructure for major blockchains. As part of this partnership, we will be able to integrate bloXroute’s Solana trading API.

Now, we have direct access to a private Solana mempool, enabling faster transaction propagation and significantly improving transfer success rates.

All internal tests are completed successfully and full integration is set to be announced in February.

This development aligns with our recent Solana Pro RPC node release, which delivers:

  • Up to 1,000 requests per second throughput
  • 99.99% uptime
  • A comprehensive add-on stack, including DAS API, Jito, and ORE

If you haven’t tried it yet, now is the time.

Finally, to streamline our data logistics, we have removed outdated access tokens. While this isn’t a major change, it has helped us significantly reduce the size of our config files.

Fresh Cohort of Blockchains: Welcoming Hashkey Chain, Treasure, and Core

New year, new blockchains at GetBlock.

Hashkey Chain: New phase in EVM adoption

The first addition to our growing blockchain ecosystem in 2025 is Hashkey Chain, a unique EVM-compatible blockchain developed by Asian fintech powerhouse Hashkey Corp. With this integration, GetBlock once again becomes the first mainstream commercial RPC node provider to support a promising new blockchain.

Treasure: Powering Web3 gaming

Next up is Treasure, a gaming-centric EVM blockchain now available in our Dedicated Nodes module. Known for its MAGIC crypto token, this DAO-governed project is carving out new frontiers in Web3 gaming infrastructure.

Core: Bridging Bitcoin and EVM

Interested in the BTCFi trend? Look no further: GetBlock now supports Core, an EVM-compatible blockchain powered by Bitcoin’s security model. With GetBlock’s Core RPC endpoints, developers can seamlessly merge the accessibility of EVM development with the unparalleled security of the largest PoW network.

Ongoing blockchain upgrades

Beyond new integrations, we have also activated several critical network upgrades to enhance functionality and efficiency for our existing blockchains. All GetBlock nodes now support:

  1. Sei’s Pacific-1 mainnet upgrade
  2. The highly anticipated OP Stack Holocene hard fork
  3. The widely discussed Gaia update on Cosmos

These upgrades ensure optimal performance, improved network efficiency, and expanded capabilities for developers working on Sei, Base, and Cosmos.

Updated monetization mechanism and free packages adjustment

We’ve introduced a more efficient monetization system, designed to reduce billing errors and accelerate payment processing.

GetBlock new monetization system

Now, users can easily track:

  • Payment history
  • Active and inactive subscriptions
  • Available request limits
  • and more!

To ensure optimal resource allocation, we have also adjusted the terms of our free packages. Starting January 15, new GetBlock RPS limits and request caps apply. However, they remain fully sufficient for testing, research, and personal wallet usage.

Wrapping up: Bold start to Q1 2025

That’s a wrap for January! In February, we’ll be heads-down working on:

  • New resource accounting model
  • Massive shared node upgrade (trust us, it’s big!)
  • Expanding our global server infrastructure to new geos for ultra-low latency

Thanks for your support! Stay tuned for more updates.

Best regards,
GetBlock Team
