Web3 heavyweights like Circle and Tether will heavily influence the future of post-Merge Ethereum (ETH), Buterin says.

BNB Chain rollups undergo stress-testing

According to the July, 2022 look-back by BNBChain.org, the protocol underwent a number of crucial updates in terms of speed, scalability and security.

Namely, BNB Chain nodes activated BSC Release v1.1.12, a node software upgrade. It is set to advance the performance of Fast Node and Verify Node: the update can slow down the storage growth by 60-90 per cent.

Also, BSC Release v1.1.12 increases the syncing efficiency by about 30 per cent. All node operators of the BSC nodes ecosystem are required to upgrade their software as soon as possible to reach full-scale state consistency.

Then, BSC engineers started experimenting with BNB zk-Rollup, a second-layer scaling solution previously used on the top of Ethereum (ETH) mainnet. BNB Chain team is heads down testing and refactoring BNB zk-Rollup design; it will be open-sourced in August, 2022.

BNB Sidechain: Proof-of-Concept is almost ready

Also, BNB Sidechain, a purpose-made separate network design tailored to the needs of specific applications, has successfully reached Proof-of-Concept (PoC) phase. The PoC of BNB Sidechain is released in accordance with BEP-100 specifications.

Last but not least, BNB Chain’s Beacon Chain is ready to activate the Godel upgrade in its testnet. As a next step, BNB Chain will disable its DEX model: with the evolution of BNB Chain’s DeFi ecosystem, BNB DEX lacks liquidity and user base.

BNB Chain nodes by GetBlock: Most convenient endpoint to Web3

GetBlock, a top-tier Blockchain-as-a-Service provider, offers high-profile APIs to BNB Chain dedicated nodes and shared nodes. GetBlock’s BSC nodes can supercharge DeFis and dApps with low-latency and resource-efficient APIs.

GetBlock is a long-term strategic partner of BNB Chain; both testnet and mainnet BSC nodes are available for its clients. GetBlock accesses BNB Chain nodes through JSON-RPC and WebSockets (WS) methods.
