Since May 2021 has come to an end, as usual, we’re ready to share our news and updates with the developer community. The past month brought you a new GetBlock product, several partnerships, a discount offer for dedicated nodes, new docs and developer guides, and way more!
Introducing a new product: Raw Data
Raw blockchain data for dedicated nodes is now live on GetBlock in Beta mode!
Normally, when you retrieve blockchain data from a node, you receive a response in readable insights on a block height or transaction. Raw data is a non-processed encrypted code that can be used by developers for performing advanced analytics, conducting data analysis or building a node client.
Currently, information in a raw format can be provided for Bitcoin (including its derivatives, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Bitcoin Gold, etc.), Ethereum (including its derivative Ethereum Classic and other tokens based on its network), Binance Smart Chain and other cryptos based on RocksDB and LevelDB.
New docs and developer guides
Information on methods for available nodes has been expanded and now you can use our Developer Docs to find the data for XRP (XRP), Horizen (ZEN), Bitcoin SV (BSV). This section includes methods for available API interfaces, parameters and examples of requests and responses.
Our docs were also enlarged with new guides explaining the steps that should be taken to connect to GetBlock using various libraries and extensions:
- How to connect to GetBlock with Web3.js;
- How to connect to GetBlock with TronWeb;
- How to connect to GetBlock with MetaMask.
Partnerships
We were nothing but happy to achieve a partnership with SimpleHold, a light non-custodial wallet for Bitcoins (BTC), Litecoins (LTC), Tethers (USDT), and so on. Its ‘killing feature’ is a rich toolkit of integration with popular browsers.
With GetBlock-fueled gateway to Ethereum (ETH) nodes, SimpleHold supports both Ether and ERC-20 tokens transfers. Thus, the vast majority of tokens in existence can now be stored and transferred via SimpleHold.
Another announcement was dedicated to our long-term partnership with Shimbo, an API-based crypto exchange for business. They integrate the crypto exchange modules into customers’ websites through unique API keys.
The service is going to use nodes of multiple blockchains starting from Binance Smart Chain (BSC). GetBlock is among the leading vendors of seamless API-powered connections to Binance Smart Chain that rocketed amidst Ethereum (ETH) perennial congestion and fees upsurge.
‘X2 Requests’ ended, the new discount comes
It’s been a while since we started offering the doubled packages of requests for our shared nodes, although this offer is no longer available. However, we just couldn’t leave our customers without any bonuses, that is why we’re glad to let you know about a special offer for dedicated nodes starting from June.
Now, if you buy a dedicated node for two months, you can use it during the third month absolutely for free! Also, we prepared a discount for the fourth and subsequent months.
