The past month brought us new developer guides and resources, several partnerships, new nodes and upgrades, and of course, hundreds of satisfied customers!
BSC archive node is officially launched
We’re more than excited to let you know that the Binance Smart Chain node is officially up and running! The advantage of the archive node is that it stores the full history of in-blockchain interactions and allows tracking data in a predetermined period of time.
You’re welcome to check it out using 40K free requests/day or any suitable package by connecting to our BSC shared node, or there is an option to purchase a dedicated node if you want to push the performance of your app over the limit. The information on our special offer for dedicated nodes is given below.
Added nodes and updates
The following nodes were deployed and added to our platform in June:
To start using a shared node, please, register an account and get your personal API key which will be displayed on the dashboard together with the related data.
Another upgrade happened to our Polkadot (DOT) node as we added the Westend testnet that replaced the previous Alexander testnet.
Block Explorers: under development
The GetBlock website was filled up with a new page dedicated to block explorers. It’s going to enrich our product line in the near future as we plan to implement blockchain explorers for the most popular cryptocurrencies. The team is about to start with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. If you want us to launch a block explorer for your crypto coin, we will be glad to cooperate with you.
New docs and developer guides
Information on methods for available nodes has been expanded and now you can use our Developer Docs to find the data for Litecoin (LTC) in addition to others. This section includes methods for available API interfaces, parameters and examples of requests and responses.
Our docs were also enlarged with new guides explaining the steps that should be taken to register and set up the GetBlock account and also how to integrate with our blockchain nodes for generating accounts and sending transactions:
Partnerships
We expanded the base of our partners with several projects who chose GetBlock as their node service provider.
Let’s begin with Lead Wallet, a crypto storage and transfer ecosystem tasked with DeFi use-cases. Within its framework, they utilize node connections by GetBlock to access major blockchains such as Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, Tron and Litecoin, among others, which removes all ‘heavy lifting’.
The Nice1 project that integrates non-fungible tokens (NFTs) into decentralized gaming chose GetBlock as their EOS node access provider. The team is also sure that our service solutions for various blockchains will be useful for scaling and technical progress.
And last but not least, our collaboration with the BSC Token Tools trading bot who are using our BSC node that obviously accelerates the performance:
The price update is x7 faster now, because we partner with GetBlock.io who provide a BSC node for TokenTools. More features and news are coming!
It’s also vital to mention that the usage of the xDai node has skyrocketed thanks to the traffic provided by the Swarm project who uses xDai to scale the network transactions. They’ve just recently launched on mainnet, and if you take a look at their documentation, you will see that they recommend GetBlock as a reliable provider of access to the xDai blockchain.
#xDai blockchain is taking off on @getblockio nodes! The number of requests per second has been increased by 8 times in the past 3 days 🔥
