BNB Chain to activate zero-knowledge protocol zkBNB
According to the official announcement shared by the BNB Chain team, it is going to release its own zero-knowledge scalability solution zkBNB. It is set to leverage zk-proofs for reduced transactional pressure on BSC mainnet.
undefinedNot unlike latest zk-powered solutions for EVM heavyweights Ethereum and Polygon, BNB Chain’s zkBNB will use zk-proofs to bundle multiple transactions and verify them on BNB Chain like a single one.
New protocol is built on the top of cryptographic proofs, i.e. so-called succinct non-interactive arguments of knowledge (SNARKs). zkBNB is set to go live in public testnet in November, 2022 following the release of Binance Application Sidechains (BAS) in March, 2022.
BNB Chain nodes smashed through a crucial milestone
With the zkBNB solution activated, BNB Chain will see an unmatched increase of throughput, scalability and accessibility for dApps. The blockchain will be able to host 100 million addresses while its throughput will spike to 5,000-10,000 transactions per second (TPS).
