Hyperledger Besu is an open-source Ethereum client developed under the Apache 2.0 license and written in Java. Besu came out of ConsenSys, an Ethereum software company that enables developers, enterprises, and people worldwide to build next-generation applications, launch modern financial infrastructure, and access the decentralized web. Part of the Hyperledger Foundation since mid-2019, Besu is designed for both private and public blockchains.

Founded in 2014 by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, ConsenSys is a New York based blockchain company that is aimed at developing the infrastructure of decentralized applications (dApps). Their goal is to enable the Web progress by building platforms, apps, and tools for Web 3.0 while offering services to ensure they are useful to their customers. Being a home to many of the world’s renowned blockchain experts, they are proud to collaborate with others in the market on open, shared infrastructure.

“ConsenSys is very happy to be working closely with GetBlock to help provide a rich and seamless onboarding experience to BESU,” said Tom Lindeman, Director of Strategic Initiatives at ConsenSys.
“Getting up and running is fast and easy, and there are a variety of support tools available to monitor and manage your BESU nodes”.

As a ConsenSys Partner, GetBlock, a provider of access to blockchain nodes of major cryptocurrencies, allows an individual developer or a company to easily integrate Hyperledger Besu to their blockchain project and request on-chain information from the node without the need to deploy and maintain one manually. To start using the Besu node, it is required to get an API key by registering an account on GetBlock.io.

Moving forward, both teams will be working upon this partnership to empower developers building on Besu, who will be able to easily take their blockchain application from testing to launching with reliable access to Ethereum.
