From a newly released tech product, nodes launches and updates, developer guides and resources to the sponsorship of the Polygon hackathon – that is how we started a fall season at GetBlock! Read on and find out what we were up to the last four weeks.
New Product: Blockchain Consulting & Development
Recently, we launched a consulting module to help blockchain developers in addressing the crucial issues of the modern Web3 sphere.
Besides high-end technical solutions, GetBlock’s experts can provide their expertise to CEOs and CTOs of early-stage blockchain products. ‘Software-as-a-Service’ veterans from GetBlock are well-known OGs in the most complicated spheres of Web3 knowledge.
Our team can provide technical assistance from early to the latest stage of your dApp. We will discuss your ideas and project needs, sign an NDA, if needed, and come up with the best development solution that considers your existing and planned business processes.
For instance, we know how to use on-premises deployments to reduce latency, how to roll out the blockchain node from scratch, how to integrate third-party systems with distributed ledgers, how to develop and use permissioned distributed systems, and so on.
New nodes added
The following nodes were deployed and added to our platform in September:
- Optimism (OPTIMISM);
- KuCoin Community Chain (KCC);
- Mumbai testnet for Polygon (MATIC).
To start using a shared node, please, register an account and get your API key which will be displayed on the dashboard together with the related data.
If you want to connect to a dedicated node of one of these or other blockchains, feel free to contact one of our Business Development Managers via our Telegram chat.
Node version updates
The following nodes had their versions updated:
- Dogecoin (DOGE) (Ver. Dogecoin v1.14.4)
- Polkadot (DOT) (Ver. Polkadot v0.9.9-1)
- Cardano (ADA) (switched from the REST interface to Rosetta)
- Bitcoin (BTC) (Ver. Bitcoin Core v22.0)
Developer guides and resources
Information on methods for available nodes has been expanded and now you can use our Developer Docs to find the data for many blockchains. This section includes methods for available API interfaces, parameters and examples of requests and responses.
Our team updated one of our guides called Authentication with API Key. Now it contains complete information on how to work with an API key on the GetBlock platform and send requests to a node.
We also uploaded a video on Youtube on how to connect to the Ethereum (ETH) node. Watch the video to get the shortest explanation of how to connect your dApp to the Ethereum mainnet using the GetBlock service.
GetBlock at the Polygon Grants Hackathon
We were glad to support our partner Polygon for the Polygon Grants Hackathon as an educational partner and provide the participants with access to our MATIC nodes.
The GetBlock team was also granted an opportunity to present an educational workshop together with our other partner, Covalent. Aziz Amer, our Chief Business Development Officer, talked about GetBlock and its killing features, our popular node services and products as well as presented a demo on how to connect to Polygon (MATIC) nodes with GetBlock. Watch the video of the workshop on Youtube and learn the details.
