On April 26–27, GetBlock hosted its very first internal hackathon, a 48-hour remote competition bringing together backend, frontend, and design specialists from across the company. While GetBlock has years of experience supporting external Web3 hackathons, this event marked the first time we brought that spirit of innovation in-house.

GetBlock held first internal hackathon: What to know

Two cross-functional teams competed to build a proof-of-concept for a next-generation internal dashboard. The goal? To empower our business development and account management teams with a centralized, intuitive platform that visualizes client activity and engagement across GetBlock’s services.

The organizers challenged participants to design dashboards that were:

  • Feature-rich and user-friendly
  • Fast, accessible, and lightweight
  • Easy to integrate with existing systems

In true hackathon spirit, the teams showcased impressive collaboration, rapid prototyping, and a shared sense of creativity (with a dash of nerdy humor, of course). The event was a major milestone for GetBlock’s internal innovation culture — and just the beginning of what’s to come.

GetBlock CEO Vasily Rudomanov on the role of hackathons in driving Web3 Innovation:

In cutting-edge technology - especially in Web3 - truly groundbreaking innovations happen where collaboration meets competition. That’s exactly the spirit a hackathon embodies.

At GetBlock, we’ve always believed in the power of hackathons to spark creativity and accelerate development. Our journey started back in 2022, when we proudly supported the START Hack event alongside Microsoft and Accenture. Since then, we’ve backed numerous initiatives, including the TRON Grand Hackathon, the Polkadot × Encode Hackathon, and joint competitions with Gnosis, TON, and others.

Today, we're thrilled to celebrate the winners of our very first in-house hackathon. The challenge: build a clear, smart, user-friendly, and feature-rich business development dashboard to help us better understand our clients, anticipate their evolving needs, and deliver greater satisfaction throughout their blockchain experiments. Each team combined frontend, backend, and design expertise — and the best rose to the top!

This marks an important milestone for GetBlock. And it's just the beginning.

The hackathon submissions were reviewed by a panel of judges — our colleagues from across various departments. The demo sessions were filled with positive energy, fresh ideas, and a wide range of creative approaches to solving the challenge.

Welcoming next cohort of Web3 innovators

GetBlock is always ready to support outstanding community hackathons around the world — providing both cutting-edge infrastructure and strong promotional support to help bring bold ideas to life.

GetBlock Managing Partner Arseniy Voitenko invites all Web3 trailblazers to apply for hackathon support:
