GetBlock is excited to announce the integration of Metis Andromeda mainnet support, providing developers with reliable, high-performance JSON-RPC API access to this innovative Ethereum Layer 2 network.
TL;DR
GetBlock's Metis integration enables developers to access Metis Andromeda mainnet infrastructure through managed RPC nodes:
JSON-RPC API endpoints enabling developers to interact with the Metis blockchain full and archive nodes
Private single-tenant infrastructure for applications requiring guaranteed performance, custom configurations, and geographic deployment flexibility across global data centers
Metis support is live now – enable endpoints through the GetBlock dashboard or contact our team to discuss custom deployments and scaling needs.
Metis mainnet RPC access live on GetBlock
GetBlock adds Metis Mainnet RPC support, providing developers with reliable RPC access to its EVM-compatible Layer-2 blockchain.
GetBlock’s Shared Node service provides a fully managed, Metis Andromeda JSON-RPC endpoints that support the standard EVM JSON-RPC surface. Shared plans include archive endpoints so teams can query historical state and run analytics without needing a dedicated archive deployment.
Additionally, GetBlock provides private full and archive nodes deployable to any of the supported locations: Frankfurt, Singapore, or New York. Dedicated nodes are fully customizable and are ideal for latency-sensitive apps, indexers, or teams with strict SLAs.
Metis RPC node access is available starting from the Free plan so developers can experiment and test immediately.
What is Metis Andromeda?
Andromeda is Metis’ EVM-compatible Layer‑2 mainnet, an EVM-equivalent optimistic rollup with decentralized sequencer design. The network, chain ID 1088, uses METIS as its native gas token and provides transaction fees around $0.01 with confirmation times under 2 seconds.
The platform offers developers a fully EVM-compatible environment through the Metis Virtual Machine (MVM), enabling seamless migration of existing Ethereum smart contracts and dApps, while delivering faster, lower-cost transactions. This makes Metis a practical option for DeFi, gaming, and DAO/DAC use cases that need cheaper transactions.
As of 2026, Metis has evolved into a comprehensive multi-network infrastructure with a strategic focus on AI-blockchain integration. The platform now operates a dual-network strategy featuring Andromeda as the settlement layer and Hyperion as a high-performance AI-focused execution layer with parallel transaction processing capabilities. The Metis SDK provides native tools for building AI-native applications and high-performance dApps, making the network particularly attractive for developers working on compute-intensive applications, DeFi protocols, and AI-integrated use cases.
How to connect to Metis RPC with GetBlock
Generate your Metis RPC endpoint in under a minute via your GetBlock account:
Sign in to your dashboard or sign up for a free account
Open the endpoint setup menu and choose Metis from the networks list
Toggle archive access for historical data queries
Generate a Metis RPC URL

Your Metis RPC connection is ready to use immediately. Prototype on the free tier, upgrade when you hit production traffic
Deploying Dedicated Metis nodes
Production applications with high throughput demands or strict performance requirements benefit from dedicated Metis infrastructure. Dedicated nodes are set up from the same GetBlock dashboard:
Switch to the Dedicated Nodes tab and start a new deployment
Choose deployment location: Frankfurt, Singapore, or New York
Choose node type: Full or Archive
Configure API interfaces and the usage plan
Confirm deployment
