GetBlock starts providing Ink Chain RPC API

A major RPC provider, GetBlock, is announcing support for Ink blockchain, a cutting-edge DeFi-optimized Layer 2 network.

Developers can now connect to Ink mainnet by using GetBlock’s production-ready infrastructure to ship DeFi applications faster.

Highlights

GetBlock now provides managed Ink RPC nodes access:

Full node access via JSON-RPC and WebSocket protocols

Ready-to-connect Shared Node endpoints and powerful Dedicated Nodes

Production-ready infrastructure with global data center coverage

All services are live: sign in to your GetBlock account and add Ink RPC endpoints to your list.

Ink blockchain RPC services now live on GetBlock

As an RPC node provider, GetBlock eliminates the technical barriers of running and maintaining crypto nodes. With Ink chain now live on the platform, users gain a smooth entry point to explore, build, and scale within the Ink ecosystem.

GetBlock offers access to Ink blockchain nodes through two connection options.

The Shared Node service provides access to Ink RPC endpoints already running and ready to use the moment an access token is created. Developers can interact with Ink’s mainnet through both JSON-RPC and WebSocket API.

Dedicated Ink Nodes by GetBlock deliver an exclusive and customizable environment. Each Dedicated Node operates on isolated infrastructure, ensuring consistent latency and control over node parameters. This mode is particularly suited for enterprises, analytics providers, or dApp developers who require private scaling capabilities.

Both services can be configured and managed from the GetBlock user account.

What is Ink blockchain?

Ink is a Layer-2 blockchain incubated by Kraken and built on Optimism's OP Stack as a "house of DeFi" for the Superchain ecosystem. The network launched on mainnet in December 2024.

The protocol combines EVM compatibility with performance enhancements and Superchain interoperability to power high-throughput DeFi applications. Ink enables developers to deploy Solidity-based smart contracts while benefiting from sub-second block times and optimized transaction costs branded as "Smol Gas."

The network began implementing Stage 1 decentralization with permissionless fault proofs in January 2025, advancing its security model.

Getting started with Ink chain API on GetBlock

To begin interacting with the Ink blockchain API, log in to your GetBlock account and configure your RPC URL as needed:

1

Get endpoint → Ink protocol

2

Choose your preferred node hosting location: New York, Frankfurt, Singapore

3

Create one or multiple JSON-RPC or WSS API endpoints

How to get Ink Chain RPC URL

With only these three steps, GetBlock users can get an Ink RPC URL and connect to one of the most innovative modular blockchains available today.

Dedicated Ink node deployment

A Dedicated Node is deployed through a short order-and-provisioning flow in your account, after which GetBlock spins up and configures a private Ink node for you:

1

Open the Dedicated Node page in the dashboard

2

Choose your plan parameters: network, hosting region, available server configurations, and billing period

3

Confirm the order

This creates a deployment request for a private Ink node tied to your account.
