November 2021 has come to an end, which means that we’re ready to share our news and updates with the developer community. The past month brought you updates of several website pages, new partnerships, NFT launch and more.
Website pages update: dedicated nodes, shared nodes, media kit
The GetBlock team is continuously upgrading not just the technical side of the service itself, but also the visual elements and content on the website to make it more comprehensive and at the same time easier to use.
Dedicated nodes
Dedicated nodes API connection to BSC, ETH RPC, MATIC and TRX nodes, among other blockchains, should be referred to as a premium offering by GetBlock. They handle the highest number of requests with no daily rate limits. Our dedicated nodes is the best solution for the dApps that consider scaling and expect user base upsurge. It’s become more comfortable to navigate through the “Dedicated Nodes” page as now you can find there the supported and coming soon options together with their specifications, as well as major advantages of GetBlock dedicated nodes on the whole.
Shared nodes
Shared nodes is a basic level offering for early-stage decentralized applications. With the lowest prices, GetBlock’s clients can access shared nodes of all 40+ blockchains available on the platform. By analogy with dedicated nodes, the “Shared Nodes” page shows the supported and coming soon variants with their specifications, as well as their strong points.
Media kit and brand resources
For our partners, friends and members of the press, we've zipped up logos and brand assets for you on one page, so you don’t need to negotiate legal agreements for each use. If you have any questions about the GetBlock brand, please contact us at marketing@getblock.io.
Node version updates
The following nodes had their versions updated:
- Binance Smart Chain (BSC) nodes (Ver: v1.1.6)
- xDai (STAKE) nodes (Ver: v3.3.0-rc.15)
- Theta (THETA) (Ver. Theta v3.1.2)
New partnerships
In November we expanded upon our base of partners, welcoming SupraOracles into our tight circle of friends. SupraOracles is choosing node infrastructure provider GetBlock to run a node and provide backup nodes in their ecosystem.
Joshua D. Tobkin, CEO and Co-founder of SupraOracles, commented: “We are selecting GetBlock to run a node due to its team’s reliability and market reputation. Our team is working closely with GetBlock’s team to understand and address the challenges that face node operations. In the future, we may plan for some AMAs and hackathons with their team. We see this as a long-term partnership with opportunities for further collaboration.”
We also established a partnership with the decentralised mining power financial services platform DMEX to collaborate on key blockchain node services and application tools.
Development perks: accessing Tron (TRX) and Cardano (ADA) nodes with GetBlock
We continued our series of articles that explain the basics of running different blockchains and the way of accessing them with GetBlock:
- Running Tron (TRX) Node With GetBlock: Here’s How It Works
Checking the TRX balance of a smart contract and of an account in the Tron (TRX) network.
