From Ripple and Blockstream to early-stage startups and even Web2 giants exploring a move into crypto, Paris Blockchain Week (PBW) 2025 offered a striking portrait of the blockchain industry's growing diversity.
As GetBlock’s CBDO (and our resident Chief Français), Alex Danilin shares some reflections on the trends, conversations, and momentum we witnessed during the event.
PBW 2025: Legacy meets the new wave
For a summit marketed as “a core event with over 9,600 attendees from 95 countries, featuring 67% C-suite executives”, PBW impressed not by scale alone, but by its unusually high signal-to-noise ratio.

Hosted at the Carrousel du Louvre, an iconic venue nestled beneath the very heart of Paris, the event delivered a unique balance. It combined established leaders like Adam Back, Charles Hoskinson, and Monica Long with an emerging generation of Web3 innovators, all under one roof.
Despite ongoing criticism of the EU’s regulatory posture on crypto and tech, the setting felt not only symbolic but surprisingly fitting. The PBW team struck a tone that was both ambitious and grounded: flamboyant in spirit, but focused in execution.
What stood out most to me: this year, the room was full of actual dealmakers.
The era of vague job titles and “I’ll ask someone from tech, I’m just here for the merch” appears to be ending (thanks God!).
At PBW 2025, we met decision-makers who were well-versed, hands-on, and ready to talk about substance. Whether from Web3-native teams or institutions dipping their toes into decentralized tech, the conversations felt sharper, more strategic, and more pragmatic.
At GetBlock, we’re doubling down on these moments where real infrastructure meets real use cases, and where the next chapter of Web3 is shaped not by hype, but by execution.
PBW 2025 was a reminder that the future of blockchain is being built in rooms just like this one: thoughtful, ambitious, and finally, growing up.
Exploring synergies with Ripple and XRP Ledger
One of the highlights of PBW 2025 was the opportunity to showcase GetBlock’s latest developments to a truly global audience. Across dozens of conversations, a few topics consistently stood out:
- GetBlock’s Solana suite. It includes SOL RPC endpoints and plugins like Yellowstone Geyser, DAS API, Jito, and more
- MEV-protected RPC endpoints. They are already available for Solana, Ethereum, Base, and BNB Chain
- Alternative VM ecosystems. We’re betting on Sui, Sei, Aptos, and others that continue to gain traction
We were also pleased to reconnect with our long-term clients and forge new relationships. A personal highlight was an insightful conversation with Florent Uzio, Senior Engineer at RippleX and one of the brilliant minds behind RippleNet, RLUSD, and several of Ripple’s flagship initiatives.
As one of the most advanced infrastructure providers supporting XRP Ledger, GetBlock takes pride in operating a full archive XRPL node - an achievement that speaks to the strength and precision of our DevOps team. Naturally, there was plenty to align on.
It was also a great pleasure to extend our thanks to CoinGecko, which ranked GetBlock among the top 5 RPC node providers globally for three consecutive reporting cycles.
We also explored potential collaboration opportunities with Messari, a leading name in blockchain analytics, and Chiliz, the originator of the fan token concept.
Wrapping up: Is blockchain dead in the EU? Not quite.
To those suggesting that blockchain is "dead" in Europe PBW 2025 told a very different story.
At GetBlock, we're doubling down on high-performance, EU-based infrastructure to support the builders, innovators, and institutions shaping the future of Web3.
The energy is still here, and so are we.
À bientôt à Paris!
