Hello GetBlockians! October brought some of the most exciting updates at GetBlock. We made private node infrastructure more flexible (and affordable), gave Shared Node users archive access and higher request caps, expanded our multi-chain support, and more.
Dive in for this month’s highlights and sneak a peek at what’s coming next.
TL;DR:
GetBlock now offers two Dedicated Node tiers: Standard and High
Shared Node users get full archive blockchain data access
RPS limits boosted by up to 4x for Shared Node plans
Our supported protocol list expanded with three innovative blockchains: Stacks, Etherlink, and B3
Latest node software upgrades across supported blockchain
GetBlock continues to support BlastAPI users with exclusive discounts
Read on for all the details!
Tiered Dedicated Nodes: Making private infrastructure accessible to more teams
In October, GetBlock introduced two Dedicated Node tiers: High and Standard. Before this, dedicated nodes always ran at our highest performance settings – now the High Performance Tier. This remains our best infrastructure offering with maximum throughput and uptime.
The Standard Tier is a brand-new option, making dedicated nodes accessible to more teams. It carefully balances technical resources while still providing enterprise-level dedicated node capabilities. The result is a noticeably lower price compared to the High Performance Tier, with up to 40% in cost savings.
There’s no price increase; existing customers keep their pricing and were matched to the right tier automatically.
In short:
High Performance Tier: Features the most robust performance specs available from GetBlock.
Standard Performance Tier: Provides dedicated resources without the higher costs associated with the premium setup.
Choose the performance profile that best fits your workload and budget during the dedicated node setup from your dashboard.
GetBlock’s goal with this update was to make dedicated Web3 infrastructure more flexible. Some teams need pure speed, others want reliable but affordable infrastructure.
Archive Data now accessible for Shared Nodes
Full historical blockchain data is no longer exclusive to Dedicated plans – now available on Shared Nodes. What changed: A new Archive Mode setting has been added to let GetBlock users access archive node data from the Shared infrastructure.
How it works:
Archive data is available on all paid Shared Node plans
No extra fees – just use your regular Shared plan
Archive calls consume 2x Compute Units (CUs) due to their complexity
The feature is available for Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, HyperEVM, TRON, and other key blockchains
To set up an archive endpoint, just select “Archive mode” when creating your endpoint in the dashboard.
Access to historical blockchain data used to be expensive and complicated, requiring teams to run or pay for specialized nodes. With this update, GetBlock aims to make archive data easier and more affordable for everyone.
Shared Nodes: Higher RPS limits
GetBlock increased the Request Per Second (RPS) limits across all Shared Node subscription plans. Free, Starter, Advanced, and Pro users can now make more simultaneous API requests than before, reducing throttling during spikes and giving more room to scale.
New limits are:
Free plan: 20 RPS
Starter: 100 RPS
Advanced: 300 RPS
Pro: 500 RPS
No price changes – just more power.
New chain integrations: B3, Etherlink, Stacks
GetBlock added support for three new blockchains, so our users can build on emerging ecosystems and experiment with new technologies.
B3 – Layer 3 blockchain built on top of Base, optimized for on-chain gaming applications.
Etherlink – Layer 2 protocol on Tezos, combining EVM compatibility with Tezos’ efficiency and security.
Stacks – L2 blockchain that allows developers to build dApps secured by Bitcoin’s network.
All new endpoints are live. Activate in your GetBlock dashboard, or deploy dedicated B3, Etherlink, and Stacks nodes with just a few clicks. If you need advanced configuration or a personalized demo, our team is here to help – just reach out.
Node client updates
This month, we rolled out a comprehensive round of node client upgrades across our supported chains. Here are the highlights worth noting:
Bitcoin Core v30.0: A major release with the latest performance optimizations.
Ethereum (geth v1.16.5): We updated our Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains to the latest Geth version available in October.
opBNB (v0.5.4): A mandatory update to support the upcoming Fourier hard fork, which halves block times, boosting transaction speed.
Solana (Agave v3.0.8): Enhances validator performance, increases processing speed, and boosts RPC reliability for dApps.
Polygon (Heimdall v0.4.3 & Bor v2.3.4): Improves core consensus, syncing, introduces PBSS archive mode, and various bug fixes.
TON (Core v2025.10 & TON Indexer v1.2.3): Keeps TON mainnet nodes and indexers fully in sync with protocol changes.
In addition, we performed scheduled releases for BSC, XRP Ledger, Sonic, Aptos, NEAR, Sui, Sei, Kaia, Cardano, Cosmos, and other supported ecosystems. These upgrades make sure our nodes get the latest features, bug fixes, and security from each protocol.
Switch from BlastAPI to GetBlock – save up to 50%
GetBlock continues to run a migration campaign to support teams affected by BlastAPI’s shutdown. Migrating users get generous discounts on our top-tier plans:
50% off Enterprise plan (with code “MIGRATE50”)
40% off Pro plan (with code “MIGRATE40”)
Discounts apply to subscriptions of six months and longer and are available through November 20, 2025.
If your team’s looking for a more powerful RPC alternative, now’s the time to join GetBlock. Just send us a message and include your promo code — MIGRATE50 for the Enterprise offer or MIGRATE40 for Pro.
Our engineers provide hands-on support to make the transition seamless and minimize downtime.
Looking ahead
We’re already working on the next wave of features and blockchain integrations. Got suggestions? We’ll soon make it even easier to share feature requests and vote on new upgrades.
And with Black Friday approaching, expect special deals for our community. Don’t miss out and follow us on X for timely announcements.
