What happens when a TON Nest alumni like HanChain teams up with GetBlock’s infrastructure experts? On July 24, Maria (HanChain) and Peter (GetBlock) took to X Spaces to answer exactly that – exploring how their collaboration powers MusiKhan’s tune‑to‑earn model, scales fractionalized music rights, and lays the groundwork for a truly decentralized music economy.
Whether you’re a developer, artist, or music lover curious about Web3’s next frontier, dive into the highlights below.
Part 1. HanChain and MusiKhan: Bridging music and Web3
Peter (GetBlock): Please introduce HanChain and the MusiKhan app to our listeners.
Maria (HanChain): HanChain is a Web3 infrastructure project dedicated to tokenizing real‑world assets – starting with music – in a secure, scalable, and user‑friendly way. We’re proud to rank in the top 1% of over 13,500 projects reviewed by CertiK, and we’ve held ISO 27001 certification for four consecutive years.
MusiKhan is our decentralized music Telegram mini app built on HanChain. Leveraging a tune‑to‑earn model, it rewards users with crypto simply for listening to music. While we host a variety of genres, our initial focus is on K‑pop, collaborating with over 30 top‑tier Korean artists and featuring more than 600 exclusive tracks.
The mini-app offers free music streaming through staking. Beyond streaming, MusiKhan allows fans to own fractionalized music copyrights as real-world assets (RWAs), earn real royalties, and participate in immersive fan experiences – from quests, games, to community-driven events.
Demand has been strong from both artists and fans. To date, MusiKhan has recorded over 440,000 on‑chain transactions – quite impressive for an early-stage project.
What inspired you to make music listening monetizable?
We saw a stark imbalance in the traditional music industry: labels profit billions while artists and their fans often receive little value. MusiKhan flips that model.
By tokenizing music rights, we empower artists and fans to earn from every play and engagement. It’s not just passive consumption; it’s active participation in a fair, transparent ecosystem where support is genuinely rewarded.
Part 2. Ownership, sustainability, and decentralization: What sets MusiKhan apart
How does MusiKhan differ from traditional and other Web3 music platforms?
MusiKhan’s competitive edge lies in three pillars:
Ownership & rewards
Unlike centralized services that hoard profits, we share real ownership of music copyrights with both artists and fans. Listeners become investors, earning by staking, listening, and engaging.Sustainable growth
Many Web3 apps offer one‑off token drops. We integrate RWA finance so value compounds as the ecosystem grows: more participants mean a stronger, self‑sustaining network.Decentralization & transparency
Because the platform is built on blockchain, all metadata is stored onchain, ensuring full transparency and accessibility. Anyone can view the data at any time.
In essence, MusiKhan is so much more than just music – we’re transforming culture into a vibrant economy, built on transparency, fairness, and real‑world impact.
Part 3. User experience: Access, staking, and earning
Can MusiKhan users listen without staking?
To access music, users do have to stake LP tokens, which unlock tracks for seven days. Staked LP tokens remain locked for 30 days and can be restaked indefinitely. So, as long as tokens stay staked, listeners can re‑unlock or extend access. Once LP tokens are unstaked, their listening access is no longer extended. In other words, access is designed to be flexible and user-controlled.
Can anyone upload music to MusiKhan and earn rewards?
At this stage, we work exclusively with verified artists and partners to ensure music rights are properly managed and tokenized. That said, we’re building an onboarding system that will allow independent artists to upload their work, tokenize their rights, and earn alongside their fans, all while maintaining copyright integrity.
Besides listening, how else can MusiKhan users earn? Is the platform beginner‑friendly for non-crypto users?
MusiKhan is designed to be both rewarding and beginner-friendly, even for crypto newcomers.
Beyond streaming music, users can earn additional rewards in several ways:
- Spin‑to‑earn: Each unlocked track grants one spin in our built‑in game, rewarding 10–100 HAN tokens every time.
- Referral program: Share your unique link—when friends spin, you earn 10% of their rewards in real time.
- Social missions: Complete simple tasks (e.g., join our Telegram, follow on X, invite friends) to earn HAN tokens while deepening ties with your favorite artists.
We do believe that crypto can be complicated. So, alongside all of the activities, the mini app users have access to our curated crypto news feed. This is where all the news, marketing sites, partner updates, and ecosystem news are delivered. And this is how we help beginners learn Web3 fundamentals alongside their fun music experience.
Part 4. Collaboration with GetBlock
How has your experience been working with GetBlock so far?
It’s been excellent. It was the TON Nest program that helped us connect and collaborate, and GetBlock now powers MusiKhan’s infrastructure.
Since MusiKhan is a real‑time tune‑to‑earn Telegram mini app built on TON, the responsiveness and stability of the TON RPC layer are critical – especially for LP token staking, which unlocks music streaming, our core feature.
Low latency and high uptime provided by GetBlock are what ensure seamless staking and streaming on our app. Also, the integration was seamless, and the developer dashboard makes monitoring easy for us. Reliable support from you guys is also invaluable.
Are there any improvements in your app’s performance since you started using GetBlock?
Definitely. Since joining the GetBlock grant program, we've benefited not only from dedicated RPC resources optimized for our use case but also from proactive technical support and priority access to infrastructure.
We've seen noticeable performance improvements, especially in how quickly our front end fetches staking data, which is key for our tune-to-earn experience. GetBlock’s dedicated RPC resources and priority support have been invaluable, allowing us to shift focus away from backend concerns and toward refining user experience and expanding features.
We truly appreciate GetBlock’s support in helping MusiKhan grow and deliver a seamless Web3 music experience on TON.
Part 5. Future roadmap
What’s next for MusiKhan?
This is the question I was looking for the most! We’re now gearing up for several major upgrades:
- Decentralized music DEX: Launch a marketplace to trade tokenized music copyrights. This will allow users to not only earn from music but also to own and freely trade music rights, moving from passive listening to active participation in the music economy.
- Global artist expansion: Beyond K‑pop, we aim to onboard artists from diverse genres worldwide, grow our catalog, and reach new audiences.
- Expand beyond music: Experiment with interactive shows and other RWA verticals to extend our ecosystem.
Our vision is a fully decentralized music economy where fans and creators co‑own cultural assets, and we can’t wait to build it with our users’ and GetBlock’s continued support.
Community questions
Q1: How can developers integrate GetBlock services into their dApps? Do you offer guidance for beginners?
Peter: Sign up for free on our GetBlock dashboard, create an endpoint for any supported chain, and start sending RPC requests right away. Our docs and sample code make onboarding seamless.
Q2: Do you plan to support more Layer‑2 networks or custom AppChains at GetBlock?
Peter: Absolutely. We’re continually expanding our blockchain support. Moreover, with our Dedicated Node service, you can reach out to our Business Development team and deploy any existing chain node exclusively for you. We also provide an AppChain service, so our users can build and run their own custom blockchain on top of GetBlock’s infrastructure.
Q3: Could you share some insights into HanChain’s tokenomics? How does the native token function, and what benefits does it offer to users and contributors?
Maria: You can find our tokenomics on our website. We’re addressing long‑standing issues in the traditional music industry by rewarding everyone who contributes. In the long term, we want to build value in fan‑artist relationships – something the traditional model doesn’t do – and expand blockchain adoption, since many music listeners aren’t yet familiar with Web3.
Big thanks to Maria and the HanChain team for sharing their vision, and to all our listeners for the engaging questions. As GetBlock continues to power innovative projects on TON, we’re excited to see MusiKhan’s ecosystem flourish. If you’re building a Web3 app, drop us a line – we’d love to support your journey.
