ZKsync is an open-source high-performance L2 protocol for Ethereum scaling. The platform is developed by Matter Labs, veteran Web3 software studio.
In June, 2023, the blockchain’s developer launched ZK Stack, an independent community-driven framework for building separate “hyperchains” fueled by ZK proofs.
First iteration of the system was unveiled back in 2020 while the latest software build was released in 2023. As a high-performance secure rollups, both blockchains are suitable for deploying DeFi protocols, NFT marketplaces, on-chain games, wallets, and so on.
As a cutting-edge ZK rollup on Ethereum, the blockchain utilizes PLONK zero-knowledge proof system with KZG commitments. Its ecosystem includes two separate blockchains dubbed Lite and Era. Previously, they were associated with v1.0 and v2.0 iterations of the protocol’s software.
It leverages zero-knowledge rollups technology for maximum privacy and scalability. It is focused on reaching nearly full EVM equivalence and relies on zk-friendly custom virtual machines for smart contracts execution.
As long as you work with GetBlock’s ZKsync nodes, you don’t need to spend resources on servers, DevOps teams and so on: we offer ready-made blockchain nodes solutions that can be activated in minutes.
Our users can customize their ZKsync RPC nodes endpoints regardless of their previous experience with GetBlock’s intuitive interface and premium-level customer support.
