GetBlock supports over 100+ mainnets and testnets on shared and dedicated modules. GetBlock connects its clients to both programmable (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Solana) and non-programmable (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin) blockchains, to all mainstream L2s (Base, Optimism, Arbitrum) and AltVM blockchains like Aptos and Sui. To meet the requirements of the segment, GetBlock constantly adds new blockchain support.

GetBlock runs infrastructure across multiple regions, with servers located in Frankfurt, New York, and Singapore, to keep latency low for users in Europe, North America, and Asia. You can choose preferred regions for both Shared Node endpoints and Dedicated node deployments.

Node is an individual database instance in a blockchain containing a copy of the full ledger of such a database, and capable of tracking, sending, getting info about transactions within such database and storing copies of the transactions confirmation. Nodes are used by developers for building blockchain-based applications.

A full node stores all the data in the blockchain, including block headers and data records. It participates in block validation and verifies all blocks and states. An archive node stores everything kept in the full node and builds an archive of historical states.

A dedicated node is more stable since it’s built for a particular client and receives a workload only from him. It also has a higher speed than a shared node since the workload is less. The number of requests that can be sent to the dedicated node is unlimited. As for the shared nodes, the number of requests depends on the chosen package.

Shared Node Request-per-Second (RPS) limits depend on your subscription tier, scaling up to 1,000+ RPS on the highest plan.​

Dedicated nodes do not use fixed rate limits; throughput is determined by the hardware configuration allocated to your node. The GetBlock team can help design a setup that matches your performance targets.

The speed of a dedicated node depends on many factors that affect performance: Internet connection, location of a user and the dedicated node itself, requests (methods) that the user sends, a blockchain and server power. On average, the speed of a shared node is ~ 0.01 sec, and of a dedicated node is ~ 0.004 sec.

Yes, GetBlock provides archive data access for most of the supported blockchains, both via Shared Nodes and Dedicated Nodes. You can enable Archive Mode for Shared Node endpoints or use Dedicated archive nodes to query the full historical state of the blockchain.

It’s quite easy to get started with GetBlock – simply register an account and get your Access Token for interaction with the required blockchain.

To get connected to a blockchain node, you need to send a request to it. You interact with a node by sending requests to and receiving responses from it via an API. Check out the Authentication with Access Token guide to learn more about sending requests to blockchain nodes with GetBlock.

Compute Units (CUs) are the billing unit GetBlock uses to measure how much node capacity individual requests consume. Lightweight methods use fewer CUs, while resource-intensive methods or archive queries use more. See the Compute Units page for a breakdown of CU costs.

The method call is essentially what function a user asks a certain node to execute. Each node has its own set of methods for interaction with the blockchain network which can be found here.

Some requests usage goes beyond the GetBlock.io’s security policy. Particularly, wallet methods (e.g. create a wallet) and those that require private keys to be included (e.g. signing contracts) are strictly prohibited since requiring personal data. The unavailable methods differ depending on a blockchain, for more information please check the Available Nodes Methods section in the GetBlock Documentation.

GetBlock Dashboard is the user's personal page that allows working with Access Token(s), tracking request volume, monitoring statistics, making purchases, and using docs and information about features that are stored. You can set a timespan, check methods for a particular blockchain and monitor valuable insights to understand how your dApp is being used.

We have an internal monitoring system that helps us to track node performance. If a user needs a custom monitoring system, we can develop and integrate it by request.

If your traffic exceeds the RPS limits of your current tier, extra requests will return HTTP 429 “Too Many Requests” responses. These requests are not counted toward your CU usage. You can check your current limits and usage in your dashboard, upgrade to a higher tier for more throughput, or request a temporary RPS boost.

No, you cannot use a single Access Token for different protocols or nodes, as they are unique. You can create and manage tokens in your Dashboard.

We offer both fiat and crypto payment options.

Fiat Payments:

You can pay with a credit card or PayPal in your personal account. Please note that fiat payments may be subject to value-added tax (VAT), which is not included in our price and varies depending on your country.
Bank transfers are available for unlimited shared packages and dedicated node users. An individual agreement is necessary for this option. Please reach out to our team to arrange the payment via bank transfer.

Crypto Payments:

NOWPayments: You can use the NOWPayments feature available in your account to pay with cryptocurrencies. We support payments in BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH, TRX, TON, and also accept payments in tokens:
• USDT in Ethereum, Tron, BSC, Solana and Polygon blockchains;
• USDC in Ethereum, BSC, Solana and Polygon blockchains;
• DAI in Ethereum blockchain.

Please make sure you only send the supported tokens listed above when using NOWpayments. Sending unsupported tokens may result in the loss of your funds.

Blockchain RPC node services at GetBlock are billed on a subscription basis.
Shared Node plans (Starter, Advanced, Pro, Enterprise) are monthly or annual subscriptions to RPC endpoints. The pricing varies by plan and is primarily based on CU (Compute Unit) and RPS limits. Annual subscriptions include a 20% discount.
Dedicated Nodes are billed as fixed‑term subscriptions for 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12 months, with the price depending on the blockchain and configuration. Longer terms receive increasing discounts, up to 20% off on an annual subscription.
We also offer a free plan that can be used indefinitely, allowing you to access our services with limited features.

VAT (Value Added Tax, sometimes known as Sales Tax), is a tax on purchases. VAT must be collected on digital products sold to consumers within the EU, on certain inter-state US transactions, and in a growing number of other countries. It is charged on top of the sale price of a product and must be returned to the relevant tax authority i.e. the governing body at the user’s location.

GetBlock built a partnership with Paddle, merchant of record. Paddle helps us to facilitate users’ payments for our service and also handle their tax responsibility. Paddle calculates VAT amount automatically, collects it and passes it on to the relevant authority of the user’s home country.

Whether a VAT charge is applied to a purchase depends on the user’s location; if the user is from a country where VAT applies, a VAT charge will be applied to the transaction. The user is responsible for paying the VAT.

GetBlock offers a Free plan for all registered users. It provides access to Shared RPC endpoints across all supported blockchains, but with a limited daily CU usage and basic rate limits. The Free plan lets you test the service itself and run low-traffic projects at zero cost.
Paid Shared Node plans (Starter, Advanced, Pro, Enterprise) offer higher capacity for production workloads and advanced features.
Dedicated Nodes are GetBlock’s premium paid service. You can also add optional extras and integrations on top, some free and some paid.

The Free plan gives access to all shared RPC endpoints, but with limited capacity and features.
Paid plans unlock much higher throughput and extra features like archive data access, MEV-protected endpoints, team accounts, advanced analytics, custom SLAs, and premium support.
