Now official: No support for PoW Ethereum fork from Ethermine
According to the official statement shared by the team of Ethermine, following The Merge activation in mainnet, the pool migrates to a ‘withdraw-only’ mode.
undefinedFrom September 15, 2022, it will no longer be possible to mine Ethereum (ETH) on GPUs and ASICs. Ethereum (ETH) miners who worked with the pool will be able to withdraw their rewards. For the accounts with 0.005 Ether minimum, the manual withdrawals will be also available in Dashboard.
Also, the team officially stated that it will never run mining operations for an upcoming Proof-of-Work (POW) fork of an ‘old’ Ethereum (ETH). A countdown will be launched to allow miners estimate the timeline of transition towards Proof-of-Stake (PoS).
Four alternatives for Ethereum (ETH) miners
