On Friday, November 15, PixelSwap’s developer, Adev, and GetBlock’s community manager, Peter, talked about the unique features of the PixelSwap DEX that set it apart from other DeFi services in the TON ecosystem. They are one of our RPC service users, so if you’re unsure whether to use them, here is the opportunity for you to check it out!
So, let’s look closer at these matters in our recap below.
Section One: PixelSwap and the LayerPixel ecosystem
Peter, GetBlock: Good morning! Could we please start with a quick introduction for those who don’t know about PixelSwap? What problems does it solve and how?
Adev, PixelSwap: Hi! PixelSwap is a distinguished modular DEX built on the TON blockchain.
It prioritizes smart contract security as a cornerstone of the project, demonstrating this commitment through significant advancements in security infrastructure. To prove it, the DEX was audited by a leading global agency.
PixelSwap features an innovative layered architecture that supports a variety of algorithms, including weighted pools and LBP launches. Moreover, it facilitates atomic transactions, enabling the execution of complex DeFi scenarios.
We aspire to be one of the most secure projects in the DeFi space and contribute to the overall TON ecosystem security development.
Peter: I heard you have an ecosystem, containing many different projects. Could you please tell us more about them and how they relate to each other?
Adev: For sure! PixelSwap is part of the LayerPixel ecosystem.
LayerPixel is an all-in-one DeFi protocol designed specifically for the TON blockchain and seamlessly integrated with Telegram Mini Apps. Using a modular architecture, it overcomes the asynchronous limitations of TON while utilizing its sharding benefits.
The ecosystem consists of several innovative components. Let’s look closer at them.
- PixelWallet is a wallet with Account Abstraction (AA) features, enabling users to interact with dApps and the LayerPixel ecosystem with ease.
- PixelSwap, our today topic, is the first modular DEX on TON, supporting advanced trading models like weighted pools and liquidity bootstrapping tools (LBPs).
- Pixacle is a decentralized price oracle solution that delivers fast and accurate price data to dApps and smart contracts.
With a focus on security, we continue to develop our LayerPixel ecosystem for all TON users.
Section Two: Multifunctionality and security
Peter: That’s great! You have a lot of cool innovative projects, empowered with robust technical features. Coming back to our topic, could you please tell us what sets PixelSwap apart from other DEXes currently in the market? I guess it would be very interesting for most of our listeners.
Adev: Yes, it’s a very important question. I’ll try to explain while keeping things as simple as possible, so all of us will be able to grasp it.
First, while we have various DEXes and staking services on TON, the biggest missing piece is the integration of more robust liquidity solutions. We need to create platforms that allow for easier asset movement and better cross-platform compatibility, which can help retain user interest and engagement. This is why we built PixelSwap.
It provides diverse DeFi functions, including weighted pools, liquidity bootstrapping pools (LBP), permissionless trading pair creation, smart routing, atomic swaps, etc. These functions not only meet users' basic trading needs but also provide a wealth of asset management options.
Also, DEXes should prioritize enhancing liquidity solutions, such as providing an infrastructure to enable seamless trading and staking. This includes developing features like atomic swaps and liquid staking, which will enhance the overall user experience and attract more participants to the ecosystem.
At PixelSwap, we’re committed to unpermissioned trading pair creation, which is very powerful. This embodies the spirit of decentralization, allowing users to freely create and list new Jetton trading pairs, promoting market fairness and diversity.
Additionally, this approach inspires innovation, as anyone can participate in market creation, bringing fresh ideas and possibilities to the DeFi landscape.
I hope this explanation was not too technically complicated. It shows our priorities and distinctive features. We focus on atomic swaps and liquidity, delivering a high user experience across the whole TON ecosystem and covering all protocols on TON.
Peter: That’s great, thanks for your answer! I’m happy to hear that you focus on decentralization and giving power back to your users. I guess, now we can go back to the security topic which you’ve mentioned before. What helps PixelSwap to keep the platform and the users’ data secure and private?
Adev: We highly value security for users.
We understand the vital importance of smart contract security for our users and have embedded this commitment into the foundation of our project. Our dedication to security is not just a promise to our users; it is a responsibility we uphold for the entire ecosystem. We want to be an example for other projects here.
So, we are partnered with premier audit firms around the world, renowned for their extensive blockchain auditing experience and cutting-edge security technologies. Their expertise allows us to quickly identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in our code. So, we were able to implement proactive measures to prevent incidents similar to the uniBTC breach. We look forward to announcing these partnerships soon.
Also, we believe atomic swaps are an excellent feature because they allow for direct trading without relying on centralized exchanges, minimizing risk. This means they're safer because you avoid the risks of centralization, giving you more options and helping the market stay liquid.
Therefore, it’s like the risk distribution, making each specific trading case much less risky.
Section Three: Future plans and GetBlock integration
Peter: Happy to hear about your partnerships, and waiting for your future announcements! Also, it means we can move smoothly to the next topic: about the future plans. Could you give some insights on these plans? What’s your roadmap for the upcoming year?
Adev: For the upcoming year, we have an exciting roadmap laid out, which we have started to bring to the public.
In December, we will be launching version 1.0, which includes several key milestones. First, we will introduce atomic swaps, enhancing the efficiency of our transactions. Additionally, we’re rolling out multi-routing and multi-hop swaps, which will significantly improve the user experience by allowing more flexible trading options. We’ll also be implementing a new smart contract with gas optimization to reduce transaction costs for our users.
Looking ahead to the first quarter of 2025, we will move to version 1.1, where we plan to open-source our core smart contract. This will allow the community to audit the code, fostering transparency and trust. Furthermore, we will launch the LayerPixel SDK, enabling developers to build various DeFi applications and dApps on our platform. We’re excited about these developments and look forward to the community's feedback as we continue to grow and innovate.
We look at the community feedback as we continue to grow and innovate!
Peter: That’s a huge plan, and I hope everything will be good. I also have an additional question about your plans, which is interesting for me personally. I love the TON ecosystem, but do you plan to expand your platform to other blockchains? Will it be possible to swap tokens other than those on TON, such as Bitcoin?
Adev: For now, there are some complications to trading Bitcoin using our ecosystem, it needs a couple of changes to adopt other blockchains. Still, as soon as the wrapped Bitcoin on TON is available, it can be traded, of course.
LayerPixel's future plans include becoming a cross-chain solution to power DeFi experiences across all Telegram Mini Apps. By providing an all-in-one platform, LayerPixel aims to make blockchain-powered finance accessible to everyone within the TON ecosystem.
Overall, we want to integrate other blockchains in the future, but for now, we are focused on the TON ecosystem, so our next developments will be connected to it.
Peter: I understand, the TON ecosystem really deserves good projects. Now I guess, we’re going to the last, but not the least question, which is particularly interesting for me and my team. As you use GetBlock nodes in your work, could you please share some feedback about your experience? What positive changes have accrued since you’ve started using GetBlock?
Adev: Right, we are using GetBlock's node and RPC service, and it has significantly enhanced our operations.
Currently, there aren't many infrastructure services available on the TON blockchain, making GetBlock a valuable partner for us and a huge part of our success. We really appreciate this! Since we started using their services, we've experienced improved reliability and faster transaction processing, which is absolutely necessary for us. It allows us to focus on developing our platform without the typical headaches associated with infrastructure management.
GetBlock provides robust support and commitment to the TON ecosystem, which have made a positive impact on our overall efficiency and performance. We believe that partnering with GetBlock positions us well for future growth and innovation in the space.
Peter: Thanks a lot! That’s really great to hear that we contributed to your success. It’s great to have you as partners. I believe we are going to end here, so goodbye, and hope to hear from you soon!
Adev: For sure. Thank you, too, and have a great day!
