GetBlock to add Flow explorer

GetBlock is expanding its selection of blockchain explorers with Flow. A decentralized, first-layer network, Flow is a user and developer-friendly blockchain designed by the Canadian tech firm Dapper Labs - the company behind CryptoKitties.

GetBlock has received a $70K grant from Flow, which will be directed towards the development and implementation of Flow blockchain explorer via GetBlock’s top-notch infrastructure.

What is Flow blockchain?

The Flow blockchain utilizes unique multi-role architecture and is fully scalable with no sharding required. What’s more, Flow stands out among competitors due to its ability to solve the infamous blockchain trilemma, which implies that the blockchain cannot be decentralized, scalable, and secure all at the same time.

In fact, Flow solves the dilemma by deploying a multi-role node architecture intended to boost blockchain performance.

The list of partners working with Flow includes a variety of different companies and projects, including Instagram, YouTube, Shopify, etc.

GetBlock’s Flow blockchain explorer detailed roadmap

The development of Flow blockchain explorer is an exciting opportunity for GetBlock, as the well-thought-out project is intended to take up to 7 months.

The blockchain explorer, hosted by GetBlock, will display the latest metrics and other advanced insights regarding the network in an X-ray manner. The platform will allow searching available blocks and collections by ID and is planning to add developer API optimization, according to its respective roadmap.

As Flow blockchain explorer development is high on the agenda for the GetBlock team, the seven-month roadmap is detailing such milestones as deploying archive nodes, working out ways to identify core services, and carrying out an initial setup of auxiliary applications, etc.

Next on the list are tokens and NFTs. At this stage, GetBlock is planning to introduce holder count and account page NFT listings for the Flow blockchain explorer.

Users could also be expecting the release of the dashboard page and the following three-week testing of the entire system.

Finally, GetBlock is planning to reach its main goal by enabling the Flow blockchain explorer to query crucial blockchain insights for apps by deploying external, or public, API. At this stage, GetBlock’s Flow blockchain explorer will also have a much broader selection of analytical data available for the users.
