Rsk Dedicated Node

RSK is a Level 2 network and is intended to be shared with the Bitcoin network. RBTC (smart BTC) coins circulate in the RSK network and are pegged to BTC at a rate of 1:1. Users can exchange their RBTCs to BTCs or in the opposite direction at any time by paying a small fee. RBTC payments are much cheaper and faster than payments between nodes in the main Bitcoin network. Through the joint use of RSK algorithms such as DECOR and GHOST, the transaction time is reduced to 10 seconds, RSK network throughput is increased to 1000 transactions per second (TPS). The goal of the RSK network is to add web3 apps, dApps, and blockchain smart contracts to the Bitcoin network, speed up transactions and increase throughput on the Bitcoin network, and significantly improve its scalability. Using RSK dedicated nodes is a great way to save developers time and effort.

Bitcoin mining and RSK mining happen in parallel, this process is called merge-mining. However, RSK mining does not significantly reduce the capacity of Bitcoin mining. RSK mining is loved by users: currently, about 40% of Bitcoin miners are also mining for the RSK network. Also, RSK miners get an 80% commission for transactions in the Rootstock network.

RBTC coins are circulating in the RSK network. At any time you can exchange them to BTC, as well as to make a reverse trade - BTC to RBTC. RBTC rate is almost the same as the BTC rate (RBTC to BTC exchange ratio is about 1:1). RBTC is used for paying commissions in the RSK network and also for calculation power (analog of gas) while working with web3 apps, dApps, and blockchain smart contracts. RBTC coins can be stored in software wallets or hardware wallets such as Ledger, Dscent and Trezor.

The RSK network relies on a system of public and dedicated nodes for its operation. There are a total of 25 RSK nodes that are authorized to validate transactions. They are part of the Rootstock federation and belong to the semi-trusted third-parties, (STTP). Thanks to these 25 RSK nodes, there is a connection between the Rootstock network and the Bitcoin network. Unitrie technology is used to compress the RSK blockchain. As a result, the RSK blockchain takes up 2,600 times less space than the Ethereum blockchain network. You can also download and install the full dedicated RSK node software from the project's official website. The activity of maintaining a full RSK node has no financial rewards.

Some RSK nodes also have the right to vote on the future path of the project. There are 5 such RSK nodes in total. The first of the main RSK nodes controls the Bitcoin foundation, the second Ethereum foundation. The third RSK node is the combined vote of all RSK nodes, and the fourth RSK node is controlled by representatives of exchanges and wallets. The fifth RSK node belongs to the dedicated wallet with the most RSK coins on its balance.

Developers of web3 apps, dApps, and blockchain smart contracts cannot do without RSK dedicated nodes. RSK dedicated node is a dedicated server. The syntax for writing blockchain smart contracts and commands is largely inherited from the Ethereum network. Just as in the Ethereum network, a gas parameter is used to calculate computational power. The value of gas is calculated in RBTC coins. When creating web3 apps, dApps and blockchain smart contracts developers first run their apps in the RSK testnet.

RSK testnet and RSK mainnet have almost identical settings, except for the parameters of the RSK nodes that are connected to. It is possible to provide anonymity of transactions between RSK nodes by using AppeCoin. In general, the potential of RSK is very high. However, it can be fully revealed by using the RSK dedicated nodes.
