BitTorrent Chain Dedicated Node

Based on high-performance Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus, in its routine operations, BitTorrent Chain leverages two types of nodes. The first one, Validator Node (or Validator) is responsible for the synchronization of network events including deposits, withdrawals, balances changes, and so on.

The second type, Full Node, stores all kinds of information about blockchain operations. Full nodes participate in transaction confirmation and addition of new blocks to an existing chain. Based on BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) documentation, Full Nodes are also called ‘Network Participants’.

These types of nodes have different mechanisms of customization and setup processes. Also, they require high-end hardware for normal operations: for instance, Validator Node needs 16 core CPU with several 1 TB SSDs.

Today, GetBlock’s clients can already utilize the network’s ecosystem built solely for their blockchain-based project with the help of BitTorrentChain’s dedicated nodes.

Besides sophisticated hardware, running BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) nodes requires high skills in blockchain development. For instance, to deploy one node, blockchain enthusiasts have to wait for full synchronization of Delivery and Bttc, its two internal services.

By contrast, after booting a BitTorrent Chain’s dedicated node provided by GetBlock, every decentralized application can go live in a matter of a couple of hours.
